January 28 "plans for new 37/30.", February 2 "planned 37/3- stll life.", 4, 5, 9 "set up 37/30 in studio", 10, 11, 12 "drew octagonal vase (ASL) x 2 2/5 by eye; 3/5 x knowledge, in 4 hrs.", 16 "drew on pitcher", 18, 19 "turned it into an oval piece.", 25, 28 "I drew; made 3/8 octagon quite perfectly with ? ? etc from Lascaux and placed same.", March 2, 4, 5 "painting commencement of 30/37" [has previously been drawing on it], 9, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19 "re-drew top octogan & elipse; more satisfactory now", 21, 23, 25, April 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30, May 4, 6, 7, 14 "I think I know how I shall dispose the 4 corners of the [rectangle]"; nothing 'left-over'.", 27 brought 30/37 & easel home, 28 packed it, June 29 "30/37 brought down to house [he ill most of summer]", September 6 boxed the 30/37, November 4 "painted (rose)", 6, 9, 11, 18, 20, 21, 25, December 2, 4.
