Notes
Painted in Wellfleet, MA, September 4 (journal), on east side of Dickinson house. The pole was used as a clothesline and was the last remaining piece of what ED called the "Apparatus," a gym set he built for his children in Provincetown, finished July 19, 1937 (journal).
