Painted in Wellfleet, MA, possibly April 19 (journal), on Bound Brook Island. ED note: "the 14 chicken piece" was painted in exchange for Jack Hall's silver spangled hamburg chickens. But Hall returned it saying he would rather have a drawing of his house and ED drew it for him June 18, 1944, & painting returned that day (journal).
