Painted in Provincetown, MA. Cut down by ED from unknown size. Model Mayme Noons. ED note: she was "a famous model in Provincetown whom we all painted many times." With regard to this painting he noted that it was " A recollected instance of forgetting (having entirely not in mind the identity of the object) 100% abstract, an appearance only (ED 1962) lost track of the appearance. It much impressed me."
