Barbara Brown, an artist, posed for another portrait in 1926 and for THE FOSSIL HUNTERS. She married artist Philip Malicoat. To FD from D. Lindley, Jr., February 18, 1984, "The piece is painted on sort of composition board . . . which is then tacked to the stretcher."
