V '62 [a previously dated postcard] on Stage' Aldous Huxley is making a good speech. / My induction came 1st & was easy; I simply stood up a moment. / Pretty good of him. / My new badge is ugly & heavy but is made of 14K / gold. / 2 cards from Lagatha [?] & 1 to / Cons [Constant] rec'd this Am. Just / going to 155th St. / Hocking is very cordial to me.
