Painted in Provincetown, MA. To Tibi, March 5, "done one of my illustrations, companion piece to one did in NY 4 yrs. ago - same place same people & accessories but a storm winter booming breakers etc a `cellist & violinist in evidence. Quite a little `go' - the vessel at anchor in the first one is wrecked in the latter." See "Music on the Beach," 1917.
