Notes: Drawn in Wellfleet, MA, June 3 (journal), from a plaster sculpture given ED April 5 (journal) by Geissbuhler. ED notes explain "drawing on reverse"."On reverse a drawing made for an article on the Roller Gear, my only illustration, for an article by Dr. Richard Parmenter in Yachting years ago." To AWS & EHS, January 3 & 15, 1938, refers to the "Yachting" illustration as has seen the roller gear in operation for the first time, in the Sanary harbor.

[ The sculpture is 12" tall, 8 1/4" wide, 12" deep, and is owned by Mr. & Mrs. Breverman.] for fig. of the actual head.
