Drawn in Buffalo, NY, March 4, 6, 19 (journal), of Mrs. Lord's conservatory. on Tracy Street. To FD from Buffalo, March 6; "Drew Am & Pm on Evelyn Lords interior (exterior) lunched there.""The drawing progressing & will better now as have a 2H & 3H Kohinoor [pencils]." A rough sketch in the letter points out the Rumsey House and a church steeple (seen at left), trees, the framework of the glass arched walls, and plants. Also "Who says I am not a modern". March 9; "The drawing for Evelyn Lord 2/3 done but held up acct [account] snow." March 19; "Finished the Lord drawing this afternoon - she greatly pleased. . .
